Breathless Passion
Last night in a pub just out of town, me, the wife and 30 or so others, witnessed musical history. Nerves frought, guitars tuned and voices tweaked. The fact remains that even though the 3 main members were battle hardened, None had played together infront of an audience. A fact the crowd soon forgot the second the drumskin was devirginilised by Ian. The vocal’s of frontman “Elvis” astounded the audience, an infusion of Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi, cut much deeper than the ears.
The enthusiasm and excitement of the band as the night went on was contagious. The breaks in the songs left you holding your breath and it didnt take long for the beat of the drum to determine the beat of your heart. The skill of the entire band was epitiomized in the final song on their playlist. The instumental was out of this world. “Elvis’s” skill could easily be compared to the likes of Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck and Joe Satriani. Mesmorizing, eletric and bloody downright amazing!
FreemanHill have taken over the topspot in my heart for best gig. A spot that had been held by Losprophets for many years.
